The Nutcracker

Malia has ballet/tap class at a little studio called the Freckled Frog. It's a very cute place, not a big operation at all. Tonight was her much anticipated Nutcracker recital. The girls had been working for months to nail their performance. Sure, it's a 2.5 minute performance but keep in mind that the average age is about 3 years old and they only meet once a week.

I wasn't sure how Malia would do as her first recital in May was spent picking at her scab on her arm. I was pleasantly surprised that she performed this time.



I have to clarify a few things about the video:

1) My favorite part of the video occurs at the very beginning where she hollers out "KAEL!!!" and waves frantically at him.

2) She's looking around... for Audrey. They got separated somehow and she was experiencing separation anxiety from her BFF.

3) Her class consists of 4 girls (herself included) and at the recital they combined with other classes. She was a little confused as to who the heck all the other girls were.

4) My second favorite part of the video occurs at the very end, where all the girls walk off the stage. Except for Malia.
